Bekannt aus Film und Fernsehen
With "Bekannt aus Film und Fernsehen", the Medlz present their versatile record. From the idea to the song selection and the production up until the eventual implementation of layout questions, the four film enthusiasts took everything into their musical hands and hold therein a charming piece of film history.
Bine: "We've tried much in the 15 years of our band's history. Some were crowned with success, others less so, but every one of these steps was important to be where we are today. Today, we are a band with a distinctive sound and continuously new concept albums, and this time, our passion lead us closer to the subject of film and TV as originally as possible, as emotionally as ever before, and as compelling as ever!"
"Bekannt aus Film und Fernsehen" is a somewhat different view of film history, from well-known themes such as Das Boot, Der Fluch Der Karibik, Highlander or Forrest Gump to hot tips like the emotional ballads from the film "Wie im Himmel" to the point of four self-made compositions on film themes. The spectrum of these genres makes this album very diversified and yet incredibly personal. One also hears the longlasting friendship with the a cappella Band Maybebop, because they lend their voices to the Medlz in a self-made composition, a duet. The script must be written just once for the film.
Maria: "This record should be more than just a cover. Wir sat together for a long time and philosophized over the red threads and the implementation. It paid off."
