There may be groups that are silly and can imitate voices better. Perhaps there are also those who can produce more tones per minute or wear funny rags.
In all other areas, Maybebop are always ahead of the pack, if not to say extremely close and personal at the top of German and international a capella, thanks to year-long, consistent stage work between Kiel and Garmisch and between the Lower Rhine region and Styria. They don't use the term so happily, but who cares about that: the songs are super, the soloists official and the humor far above the average of German slapstick a capella.
Our request to Maybebop: carry on! Our recommendation to Acappellazone customers: buy, gift, recommend!
Here are 3 CD reviews of "Extrem nah dran" ("Extremely Close to It") from afar. The U.S. colleagues and a capella nerds from the Recorded A Capella Review Board (http://www.rarb.org) have put the disc with all their expertise (and probably Google Translate) unter the acoustic microscope. One can read them here.
